Sampson Cunningham of the Better Detroit Youth Movement (BDYM) recorded a video of the highlights of the Detroit Scholarship and Resource Fair this past Tuesday.
Several colleges came to give scholarships--on the spot--to several Detroit soon-to-be college students.

North Carolina A&T State University
University of Missouri-St. Louis
Florida A&M Universty
Claflin University
Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology
Perdue University
Livingstone College
Johnson C. Smith University
Kentucky State University
Also, representatives from the Detroit Scholarship Fund attended the event.
During this event, the application fees were WAIVED.
Toward the end of the video, Sampson interviewed several students AFTER they received scholarships.
Over $500,000 in scholarships were awarded during the event. (Final tally is uncertain, but the figure is probably MUCH higher than that!)
